Eloise Rose Lemon stripe platter

Add a pop of colour to your table with this beautiful lemon platter. Hand crafted with terracotta and finished with a glossy glaze, this cheerful fruit platter is the perfect way to serve up your favourite dishes in style. 

Inspired by majolica, a type of tin-glazed pottery that originated in Spain however was made popular by the Italians at the height of the Renaissance in 1500-1600. My depictions of lemons and the contrast of the blue and egg yolk yellow really give the feeling of this traditional European pottery style however I have adapted it to take on a more English painting style with more naive brush strokes and clear layering of colours.
