Made using hand-dyed sisal, these beautiful baskets are hand woven in South Western Kenya by a weaving cooperative and brought to us by The Basket Room. Coming in three sizes, these versatile baskets work as well for bathroom or dressing table items as they do as a home to your favourite plant.

The Basket room is an ethical brand founded by Camilla and Holly, who met at fashion school back in 2014. They work with artisans and weaving co-operatives in East Africa to produce their gorgeous hand-made vessels which are perfect for storage or holding plants. The baskets are fairly traded and made with socio-economic impact at the fore.
When it comes to materials, they are meticulous, choosing raw organic plant fibres that are non-water and non-pesticide intensive. They use fibres local to where the baskets will be woven when possible, keeping emissions down and further boosting local economies. The natural range of baskets we have are either kept in their fibres hue or coloured using traditional plant dyeing techniques passed down through generations.
We carefully wrap and package all your orders in our Falmouth shop. We are committed to being mindful of our environment with plastic-free and biodegradable packaging.
